Okay, so I’m doing this camera give away. My uncle gave this to me last month but since I already have 2 cameras (my dad bought me last week), I decided to just give this away because I don’t think I can use these three at the same time. So here we go.

So… I’ve decided I’m going to ditch the idea of getting my camera fixed and just upgrade to a DSLR, because it seems right, no? Everyone was suggesting I upgrade in case my current camera stops working again and I’d have to get it fixed again, plus I feel as though I’ve outgrown it.

I could say I’ve spent an amazing year-and-a-half with my good ol’ point and shoot Canon Powershot SX30 IS (which I initially had thought was a DSLR because of its body).

From starting it out on my high school track team’s end-of-the-year-BBQ, to taking pictures on an almost daily basis during my senior year (and 2000+ pictures as a result, to the 460+ pictures alone that I took on prom night, and the pictures I was starting to take in college until the zoom lens malfunctioned.

I can say I’ve had a great time shooting pictures and that I’ll forever have a passion for it, which is why I aspire to be a model photographer when I grow up (y’know shooting fashion ads for both male and female fashion magazines and all those brands that appear in those magazines). I can say I’m very passionate about taking pictures, though I know some of my peers are even more passionate than I. Nevertheless, it’s what I’m choosing to pursue. :) So, yeah. I’m looking forward to taking pictures once I get money to buy a DSLR and probably a lens to take sweet pictures with.

I also particularly want to start taking pictures of my peers donning fashionable clothing in different locations of NYC mostly for fun but also to build up my model photography portfolio, so be on the lookout for that! :-)

I would start a fundraiser, but have no clue how, so I’m just gonna have to save up!
